Cookie Policy

Last updated: 9 September 2026

This page lists everything the Centralized Online Portal for Solid Waste Management stores in your browser, what each item is used for and how long it stays. It covers both cookies and browser storage (localStorage), because both hold data on your device.

This portal uses no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, and shares nothing with advertising networks.

Strictly necessary

These are required for the portal to work and are not optional. They are set only in response to something you do — signing in, or answering the cookie banner — and are used for nothing else.

Strictly necessary
NameTypeRetentionPurpose
accessTokencookie1 hourKeeps you signed in. Set only after a successful sign-in, and removed when you sign out.
cpcb_cookie_consentcookie1 yearRecords your answer to the cookie banner, so you are not asked on every page.

Functional (optional)

These make the portal more convenient but are not required. If you choose "Only necessary", they are not stored, anything already stored is deleted, and the portal continues to work — you will simply pick your language again on each visit and see the "already signed in elsewhere" prompt once more than needed.

Functional (optional)

NEXT_LOCALEcookie1 yearRemembers whether you chose English or हिंदी.
cpcbDeviceIdlocalStorageUntil you clear itA random identifier for this browser, so signing in again is not mistaken for a sign-in from a new device. It is not linked to your identity and is never sent to any third party.
activeTenantSlug, unified-selection, bwg-self-decl-*, kya_qa_summarylocalStorageUntil you clear itYour unfinished form entries, selected department and similar screen state, so a refresh does not lose your work.

Third-party content

Some analytics dashboards inside the signed-in area are displayed in an embedded frame served by a separate dashboard system, which sets its own session cookies while that page is open. These appear only after you sign in and only on those pages. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address as part of the request but sets no cookie.

Controlling this in your browser

Independently of the choice below, every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies and site data for this site through its own settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in.

Your current choice

Use this to change your answer. The cookie banner will appear again so you can choose differently.
